Photo description in Lithuanian — speaking practice

The speaking part of the exam is built on set speaking situations. Describing a photo prepares you for it: you describe a photo in Lithuanian and get instant AI feedback with a model answer.

This is an independent exam-preparation site. The tasks are original, authored to the published task-type structure of the exam; official exam materials are not reproduced here. We are not an examination centre, we do not administer the exam and we issue no certificate, and a result on this site is not an official exam result.

Pick a photo and start — your description is graded by AI:

What photo description is good for

The speaking part of the exam is face-to-face with two examiners and lasts 12–14 minutes: you speak to set situations, with a minute of preparation for the longer task. Describing a photo prepares you for exactly that — talking about people, places, actions and objects for more than a single sentence.

It is not only what you say that counts, but how. Speak in full sentences, use words of place (on, next to, beside, on the left, on the right, in the background) and name concrete details rather than just the general topic. A one-sentence answer shows very little — neither your vocabulary nor your fluency.

This is our practice format, not an official exam task: the content of the speaking task cards is not published and we do not reproduce it.

How the AI-graded practice works

Record your description or type it — the AI turns speech into text. As soon as you send it you get a score with an explanation of what worked and what to fix, useful vocabulary, and a model answer to compare yours with.

The exercises are free, and AI grading works without any account or sign-in. The feedback is produced by an AI system: it is practice feedback, not an official exam result.

Frequently asked questions — photo description

Is photo description an exam task?

The speaking part consists of three speaking situations, and the content of their task cards is not published. Photo description is a practice format: it trains the same abilities — talking about people, places and actions, and keeping going for longer.

How long should the description be?

It is best to speak in several full sentences and develop the description: people, place, actions, background, mood. In the exam the longer speaking task runs 4–5 minutes and the shorter ones two minutes each, so it pays to get used to speaking without long pauses.

How is my answer graded?

In this practice the AI scores your answer, explains what worked and what to fix, and shows a model answer. In the real exam each of the three speaking situations is scored 0–3 by the assessing examiner, plus 0–1 from the interviewing examiner.

Can I practise for free?

Yes. The exercises and photos are free, and AI grading works without any account.

How do I prepare best?

Practise on different photos, speak out loud, use words of place and everyday topic vocabulary — home, work, shopping, food, services, health, travel — and then compare your answer with the model one.
